Introduction

The control science and engineering discipline of Southeast University is one of the first-level disciplines for doctorate degree granting in our country, was assigned to be the first batch of national key disciplines in our country in 1988. The post-doctoral research station was established in 1992. Currently, it has 18 Ph.D. supervisors and 23 professors among which there are 1 Scholar of Thousand Talents Plan, 1 Changjiang Scholar, 3 awardees of the Outstanding Young Scholars Fund, 1 national distinguished teaching professor. The faculty group and teaching research platform are top ranked in China. Recent 5 years, over 200 SCI indexed articles have been published and 65 invention patents have been applied, 31 invention patents have been approved. The discipline obtains 1 time of second prize of the National Scientific and Technological Innovation Award, 4 times of first prize of the Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 time of second prize of the Natural Science Award of ministry of education, and 6 times of awards at provincial and ministerial levels. The Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education,  measurement and control for complex engineering systems , has been established. The research programs undertaken annually include over 30 R&D projects at national, provincial and ministerial levels, over 40 R&D projects from enterprises.
